"Repent and be baptized, every one of you" says the Apostle Peter in Acts 2:38. Baptism is a first step of obedience to Jesus Christ. At Lee's Summit Community Church, we believe that baptism is only for those who are old enough to enter into it of their own free will. Baptism is also a requirement for membership in the church. We recognize baptisms that have taken place in other churches, as long as the above requirement has been met.
Those who desire to be baptized must participate in the orientation class for adults or children. The class is usually held on the third Sunday of each month at 11 a.m.
For information on the adult class, contact Tim Luke, director of Discipleship Ministries, at 816.524.6786 x132. To learn about the children's class, contact Kevin Hartman, director of Children's Ministry, at 816.524.6786 x106.
