Middle and high school students deserve a ministry that addresses their unique life and faith challenges. Student Ministry at Lee's Summit Community Church is designed to do just that. Staff and leaders engage students in biblical yet culturally relevant ways. In addition, students find a welcoming environment at The Element, a unique facility at 1499 S.W. Market that has been custom-built for them.
The ministry is centered around:
O2 This worship service for middle school students at 9:37 a.m. on Sundays at The Element.
H2O This worship service for high school students meets at 11:07 a.m. Sundays at The Element
FUSION This small group ministry helps middle and high school students grow in Christ through small group interaction on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m., September-May. Groups meet at The Element.
Directions to The Element You can click here for an interactive map or here for a PDF neighborhood map. Parents can drop students off at the facility (or join them – parents are welcome!), or they can ride a shuttle from the main campus of LSCC. Allow about 15 extra minutes for this.
Outreach and service
Student Ministry is designed to help students live out their faith. To this end, students roll up their sleeves and serve their community, nation and world. They can be found stocking shelves at the Harvesters food bank in Kansas City and building shelters for homeless families in Jamaica.
Camps and special events
Student Ministry includes summer discipleship camps, seasonal retreats and recreational activities to help students thrive in a strong community of faith.
