What are the exact times and dates of camp?

Camp begins on Tuesday, July 16th, at 3pm at Youthfront Lacygne in Lacygne, KS. Student registration is from 3-5pm that afternoon and students can arrive anytime during that window. Camp concludes on Saturday, July 20th, at 10:30am at Youthfront Lacygne.

Can my child come late or leave early? Will you prorate my fee?

Yes and no. If your child needs to come late, let us know when you register your student. It is best if they don't miss more than 24 hours of camp. As far as leaving early, circumstances sometimes necessitates that. But the last night is pretty special, so if you can pick up your student later in the evening on Friday night they will be grateful! And no, we don’t prorate the week. Typically, our camp sells out, and we can’t afford to charge less than we do as there really is no savings to us if your student misses the beginning or end of the week.

How does my student get back and forth from Camp?

Students are dropped off by their parents at Youth Front South in LaCygne, Kansas (22626 E. 2400 Rd. LaCygne, KS 66040) at 3pm on Tuesday, July 16th.  Pick up is at 10am on Saturday, July 20th in LaCygne. Thank you for your assistance in transportation, this helps drive down the cost for camp.

Yes! We don’t want money to hold any student back from coming to camp! We have a limited number of scholarships available for students who need financial assistance. LSCC does not provide full scholarships ($50 registration fee due at sign-up) but make every effort to help each family that applies. If you would like to apply for a camp scholarship, that form is available on our website at lscckc.org/camp.  The last day to apply for a scholarship is Sunday, June 16th. Those who apply for scholarships will be notified on June 19th-21st of their scholarship amount.

Does my student need to bring any extra cash to camp?

All of your student's meals will be provided during camp. There is a Snack Shack on site that is open during free time if your student wishes to bring extra cash for snacks or merchandise from Youthfront.  LSCC is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items, including extra cash your student chooses to bring.

How are my students medications handled?

Medications should be brought with instructions for daily use. These medications will be turned into our Camp Nurse during registration on Tuesday afternoon. Our qualified camp nurse will be responsible for maintaining and distributing all medications during camp. All medications MUST be turned in during registration.

How do roommate requests work?

Your student may request roommates. Requests must be within the same grade level. We do honor the great majority of requests. Occasionally, it is impossible to accommodate all requests (i.e. 17 Seventh Grade girls who all request each other. We can accommodate, but there are only 14 girls per cabin).
