We make disciple makers who saturate Lee’s Summit with the Gospel. Put simply, we want every man, woman, and child in Lee’s Summit to have the opportunity to hear, know, and follow Jesus.

Who Is Lee’s Summit Community Church

God has put a new calling on Lee’s Summit Community Church to be a unique expression of church. We are a Bible-based community of people, from all over the Lee’s Summit community and surrounding areas, who make up an extended spiritual family and network of disciple makers. We believe that one’s faith is not meant to be only personal but should be shared with others. To do this, we focus all our efforts on inviting followers of Jesus to walk in new rhythms as disciples of Jesus. These rhythms are a repeating cycle which include: understanding identity, hearing and obeying the voice of Jesus, living on mission, and sharing the Gospel with the people God has placed in each of our lives.

Unshockable Love

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” – Mark 2:17. Jesus is not just for the seasoned church goer. Jesus is for everyone. Regardless of their sin, their past, or their appearance, Jesus is for everyone. No one and nothing is too shocking for Jesus, and, therefore, no one should be too shocking for us to show the love of Jesus to as well.

Healthy Rhythms

We believe in building habits and rhythms into our lives to help us to hear God’s voice and obey (John 10:27). This includes practicing God’s presence daily, being in regular community with others, serving together, and resting (Sabbath).

Complete Ownership

We all own our own spiritual growth (Philippians 2:12-13), and we own the lostness of our city, neighborhoods, and workplaces (Acts 1:7-8).

Absolute Simplicity

The Gospel is simple. We want all believers to become so comfortable and confident in the Gospel that they can easily model it in their own lives as well as share it when the opportunity presents itself.

What to Expect

We gather as a Christian church community every Sunday at 9:00AM and 10:30AM. Our church service lasts approximately one hour. The dress is casual, the music is contemporary (although you’ll hear a traditional song here and there), and the teaching is bible-based and applicable to your life. Check your kids (infant through 5th grade) into Community Kids, stop by the café for a cup of hot coffee or hot breakfast, and then head to the Worship Center. We’ll sing some songs, hear a message, and take communion every Sunday.

Community Kids

Infant through 5th grade

Sundays at 9:00AM and 10:30AM (check in available beginning 15 minutes before start time)

Community Kids is our children’s ministry. Your child will be in a safe environment with loving, background-checked leaders. Each week, they will learn about Jesus and grow in their faith through age-appropriate lessons and activities. Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check your child in and get them to their classrooms.

Community Students

6th through 12th grade

Community Students is our youth ministry. Your student, grades 6-12, is invited and encouraged to participate in regular Sunday services with their families at 9:00AM or 10:30AM. Many students sit together with other students as well.

Every Wednesday evening from 6:30PM to 8:30PM, students gather in the Student Center for worship, teaching, and youth groups made up of other similar-aged students.
